To thrive in this formidable endeavor, prepare your gear to optimize a powerful cavalry/T4 heavy troop composition. Keep in mind that the typical Roleplay and Tactics Evolved meta methods may not yield the same effectiveness here. Follow this comprehensive guide to make strategic decisions and lead your forces to glorious victory.

Step 1: Conquer Arnor

Your adventure should begin in the region of Arnor, a land teeming with neutral camps and valuable resources. Prepare to encounter various powerful units, including Bree Riders, Hill-Trolls, Hobbit Riders, Keepers, Spirits, Vanguards, and Wraiths. To establish a strong foothold, concentrate on securing Arnor and its neighboring territories early in the game. The key to success lies in controlling this region and its resources, which allot you not only a range of diverse units, but the ability to farm said unit camps, giving you an early boost in experience/level, thus granting you an advantage over the rest of the server.

One thing to keep in mind is that everyone in this campaign heavily favors cavalry units, and you should expect your opponents to utilize Chariots and Swans to counter your forces.

Step 2: Forge a Path to Mirkwood

As you consolidate your rule over Arnor, plan your path to the lush region of Mirkwood. Here lies a treasure opportunity, as you can acquire every T4 unit in the game, except Mumakils and other neutral T4s. Strategically navigating through Mirkwood after capturing Arnor’s vital resources should allow you victory over the entire map.

Barracks and Hiring Queues

A minor drawback in the Kings of Men campaign is the lack of ability to rotate starting barracks. This may lead to repetitive unit recruitment from Gondor and Evil Men barracks. However, as you progress and maximize your embassy and conscription post, you can unlock up to 8 queues. Four to conscript and four to hire, allowing for more diverse troop recruitment.

Optimizing Progression

To accelerate your progression, invest your AP wisely by converting units. This will ensure a steady flow of your preferred troops. It’s beneficial to slow down your advancement slightly after day one to allow the server to progress, as this can grant you free T3 units and enable the usage of T4 units with lower-level commanders, providing a fun bonus boost in progression. 

Utilizing Scrolls

Make the most of the scrolls mechanism to expedite your advancement and bolster your army. Combine this with strategic planning and efficient unit conversion to accelerate your progress and become a force to be reckoned with in the campaign.
